Mid-State hosts Admit Day event, presents $5,000 ‘Big Decision Scholarship’

Nearly 180 graduating high school seniors and their supporters attended Mid-State Technical College’s annual Admit Day event on May 2 to celebrate their decision to enroll as Mid-State students. Grayden Rode, Chili, a graduating senior from Marshfield High School was also announced as the recipient of the Mid-State’s $5,000 “Big Decision Scholarship” at the event. At Admit Day, students received a certificate of admission, toured campus, met with their advisor and got to know their program instructors.

Prevail Bank Shred Event Helps United Way of South Wood & Adams Counties

As a result of Prevail Bank’s Community Shred Day event in Wisconsin Rapids, $2,227 was raised for United Way of South Wood & Adams Counties, supporting families and individuals in need throughout the area.   Both Prevail Bank and Bank-A-Count pledged to donate $1 for every pound of paper shredded, up to a $1,000 each --- and the community rose to the challenge, bringing in a whopping 1,715 pounds of documents to be safely destroyed and recycled.
